Before you start

Open your CrawlReady report's Data consistency check section and note exactly what your website says for your business name, address, and phone. That's the spelling you're going to copy onto Google — pick one version and use it everywhere.

Tip

Copy the text straight from your website rather than retyping it. Most mismatches are tiny: "St" vs "Street", a missing suite number, or a different phone format.

Update your profile

  1. Open your Business Profile

Go to google.com/business and sign in with the Google account that manages your business. If you haven't claimed your listing yet, search for your business name and click "Claim this business" first — you'll need to verify ownership before you can edit anything.

  2. Edit your business name

Click Edit profile, then the Business name field. Type it exactly as it appears on your website — same spelling, same punctuation, no extra keywords.

  3. Edit your address

In the Location section, match your street address, suite or unit number, city, state, and ZIP to your website character for character. If customers visit you, make sure the map pin sits on the right building.

  4. Edit your phone number

In the Contact section, use the same phone number — in the same format — as your website. If your site shows (412) 555-0134, don't enter 412-555-0134 on Google.

  5. Check your hours and website link

While you're there, confirm your hours are current (including holiday hours) and that the website link goes to your homepage — not a Facebook page or an old domain.

  6. Submit and wait

Click Save. Most edits go live within a few hours, but Google sometimes reviews changes for a few days. You'll get an email when they're published.

After the changes go live

Run a new CrawlReady scan. The Data consistency check reads your website fresh each time — once Google matches, the mismatch flag clears.

Don't stop at Google

Repeat the same copy-paste on your Yelp and Facebook listings. AI assistants check all of them, and one holdout keeps the mismatch alive.
