The short version

You pay for scan tokens. One token = one full scan. Tokens never expire. You get one free rescan per paid scan within 14 days. Unused tokens are refundable within 30 days; used ones aren't. Subscriptions renew automatically and you can cancel anytime. We run the scans; you use the results honestly. If something goes wrong, our liability is capped at what you paid us in the last 12 months. The rest of this page is the detail behind that summary.

CrawlReady is operated by Madison Enterprise Group LLC, a company registered in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, USA.

Your account

You need an account to buy tokens or run scans. Keep your password private and don't share your account with other people or businesses. You're responsible for anything done through your account.

Tokens

A token pays for one full scan: all six checks, the complete ranked fix list, and up to five competitor scans included free.

  • Tokens never expire. Buy them now, use them whenever.
  • Tokens are non-transferable. They live in your account and can't be moved to another account or resold.
  • A token is used when a scan completes successfully. Failed or blocked scans never consume a token — if we can't scan your site, you don't pay for it.

14-day free rescan policy

Each completed paid scan earns one free rescan of the same website:

  • The rescan must be for the same normalized URL (we ignore differences like http vs https, www vs non-www, and trailing slashes).
  • It must happen within 14 days of the original completed scan.
  • Rescans after the 14-day window cost 1 token, like any other scan.

Free scans (the teaser and competitor scans) don't earn rescans.

Refunds

  • Unused tokens — tokens that haven't been spent on a scan — are refundable within 30 days of purchase.
  • Used tokens (tokens spent on scans that ran successfully) are non-refundable, because the work was already done.
  • To request a refund, email hello@crawlready.ai from the email address on your account, and include the purchase date and the number of tokens you'd like refunded. We'll respond within 3 business days.
  • Refunds go back to the original payment method. If the original method can't receive a refund, we'll work with you on an alternative.

Monitoring subscriptions

Monitoring subscriptions watch your site on a recurring schedule and alert you to new issues.

  • Auto-renewal. Monthly subscriptions renew every month and annual subscriptions renew every year, until you cancel.
  • Cancel anytime. Cancel from your account settings — it takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
  • What happens on cancel. Monitoring stops at the end of the billing period you've already paid for. All previously generated reports remain accessible in your account. We don't offer prorated refunds on annual plans.
  • Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, we'll email you. Monitoring pauses until the payment goes through or you cancel.

Acceptable use

Use the service for its intended purpose — checking websites you own or are authorized to check. Specifically:

  • No scraping our service. Don't automatically harvest our scan data, reports, or recommendations through bots, scrapers, or reverse-engineering.
  • No reselling without an agency plan. Individual token purchases are for your own use. If you want to run scans for clients or resell reports, you need an agency plan that permits it.
  • No abuse. Don't use the service to probe, attack, or overwhelm other people's websites, or in any way that breaks the law.
  • We may rate-limit or suspend accounts that abuse the service, and we don't refund tokens spent on abusive use.

Service availability

We provide CrawlReady on a best-effort basis. Scans depend on the availability of the site you're scanning and on third-party services (AI models, search engines) we don't control. That means:

  • We can't guarantee the service will be up 100% of the time.
  • If a scan fails because a site is down, blocks us, or times out, no token is consumed — you'll see a clear message and your balance stays the same.
  • Scan scores and findings are guidance, not guarantees. A high score doesn't promise search-engine rankings or AI mentions.

Limitation of liability

We built CrawlReady carefully, but software isn't perfect and we can't control what happens after you read a report.

  • To the maximum extent allowed by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential damages — things like lost revenue, lost rankings, or business decisions you make based on a report.
  • Our total liability for anything related to the service is capped at the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
  • If you're using the free tier, our total liability is capped at $10.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. If a change is material (it affects your money, your data, or your rights), we'll email you at least 14 days before it takes effect. Non-material changes (clarifications, formatting) take effect when posted. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Pennsylvania, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a dispute can't be resolved informally, it will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
